I used to *hate* brussels sprouts. Then Jenna told me to buy them fresh and roast them in the oven in bacon grease. Instead, I used coconut oil, and it became a favorite. These are Zoe’s second favorite vegetable, after green peppers of course. Pro tip: never, never, never eat frozen brussels. They must be fresh.

Crock Pot Carmelized Onions
I really, really love carmelized onions. I will make them the normal way, which takes forever, and then eat them plain. These aren’t quite as good as that, but they are tasty. They are good on beer bread, or in makeshift on-the-fly french onion soup.
