Zoe’s Spaghetti

1 large onion or 1/2 onion
2 T olive oil
2 T water and 1 C of water
1 14 1/2 ounce can stewed tomatoes
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
2 t dried basil leaves
1 t dried oregano leaves
3/4 t garlic powder
1/2 t ground black pepper
1 16 ounce package spaghetti

Peel and chop onion
Heat oil in pan on medium. Add onion and 2 T water. Stir and cook 5 to 7 min or until water evaporates and you can hear onions sizzle. Add remaining ingredients except spaghetti. Reduce heat and cook for 20 min stirring occasionally. Serve sauce over cooked spaghetti.
