Pineapple Nut Cake

½ C. butter
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 ½ C. sugar
2 C. flour
½ t. salt
2 t. baking soda
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks with juice
¾ C. chopped walnuts
1 C. brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9X13” cake pan.

Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth after each.

Sift the flour, salt, and soda together and then blend with the creamed mixture. Add pineapple and its juice.

Pour into the prepared pan. Mix nuts and brown sugar together and sprinkle on the top of the cake.

Bake for 45 minutes.
