2 8 oz Cream Cheese
2 C. Shredded Cheddar
2 bunches green onions, cleaned and sliced
2 2.5 oz packages thin sliced beef (cheap ones) cut into small pieces
2 T. Garlic Powder
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
Chopped walnuts
Mix all ingredients together (except walnuts) in a nice large bowl until evenly mixed. Place entire contents of bowl into plastic wrap and shape into a ball. Place in the refrigerator one hour or overnight. Place chopped walnuts on two pieces of waxed paper overlapping and take ball out of plastic wrap and roll it in the chopped nuts. It is ready to serve, or wrap it back up until needed.
The longer the ball sits in the refrigerator, the better the flavors mingle together.
Note: We like to add to this recipe – for example adding hot peppers and horseradish to the mix, and using chili powder in place of the Chopped Walnuts to roll the ball in. This makes a “spicy cheese ball”
