German Chocolate Frosting

Gram

1 C. evaporated milk
1 C. sugar
3 egg yolks
½ lb. butter
1 t. vanilla
1 ½ C. coconut
1 C. chopped pecans

Combine all but the coconut and pecans in a saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens; about 12 minutes. Add the coconut and pecans and beat until it is cool and thick enough to spread.
