Butter Cookies

1 ¼ C. butter, softened
¾ C. sifted powder sugar
2 ½ C. flour
½ t. vanilla
½ t. almond extract
Liquid food coloring (optional)

Preheat the oven to 325.

Cream the butter. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating on medium until light and fluffy. Add the flour and mix well.

Stir in the flavorings and a few drops of food coloring, if desired.

Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.

These don’t spread at all so take that into consideration when putting them on a cookie sheet.

Make about 5 dozen (2″) cookies.
